Orthopedic Surgery Specialist wanted in Madison, West Virginia - This is a locums to perm position

The ideal candidate will be an American Board Surgery Boarded Physician, interested in a
mixed practice heavily focused on injuries and rehabilitation conditions, care and diagnosis and
treatment of bone and musculoskeletal conditions.

Primary Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
● Performing routine examinations specific to orthopedic function and musculoskeletal
disease in the outpatient setting 8-4 daily
● Located at 712 Madison Avenue in the Speciality Clinic across from the Hospital
● Approximate breakdown of responsibility, 80% Clinic 20% surgery Could vary
depending of surgery cases
● Hours? 8-4
● No call is required
● Specialty Backups available, Cariology, Pulmonary, GYN, daily 8-5
● Patient Volume Current 10 per day with hopes of growth to 15-20 in clinic and 4-5 cases
per week
● APP Supervision is required
● Referrals for radiologic exam including prior authorization
● Performing hospital-based procedures and surgery
● Creating and managing patient treatment plans
● Observing patient outcomes--recommending changes to the treatment plan as
necessary
● Documenting all aspects of the patient experience via EMR
● Ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction throughout all aspects of treatment
● Adherence to medical state medical board guidelines, laws and restrictions

Qualifications:

● Medical degree from an accredited institution.
● Completion of an accredited Orthopedic residency program.
● Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedics.
● Valid West Virginia state medical license or IMLC letter of Qualification. (will you wait for
a license?)
● Strong clinical and surgical skills.
