Requirements:

  • Active North Carolina medical license
  • North Carolina DEA (with an NC address)
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) number

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with patients (0-3 consults per day)
  • Visit the Emergency Department for closed reductions and admissions (0-2 visits)
  • Perform surgeries, including wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, as well as incision and drainage procedures (0-2 surgeries per day)
  • Stabilize and transfer patients with long bone trauma
  • Gratis hours: 2-4 hours
  • Onsite individual apartments provided (hospital-owned, clean, with cable and Wi-Fi)
  • Must be within 20 minutes of the hospital at all times while on call

Credentialing:

  • Providers must be credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare
  • Enrollment with PECOS as a provider is required
