Requirements:
- Active North Carolina medical license
- North Carolina DEA (with an NC address)
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
Responsibilities:
- Consult with patients (0-3 consults per day)
- Visit the Emergency Department for closed reductions and admissions (0-2 visits)
- Perform surgeries, including wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, as well as incision and drainage procedures (0-2 surgeries per day)
- Stabilize and transfer patients with long bone trauma
- Gratis hours: 2-4 hours
- Onsite individual apartments provided (hospital-owned, clean, with cable and Wi-Fi)
- Must be within 20 minutes of the hospital at all times while on call
Credentialing:
- Providers must be credentialed with Medicaid/Medicare
- Enrollment with PECOS as a provider is required
