Orthopedic Surgeon - Total Joint Opening in Flagstaff, AZ
Full Time & Permanent Position
Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with joint-related issues, including reviewing medical history, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, or CT scans.
- Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical conditions. Discuss treatment options with patients, including both surgical and non-surgical interventions, and educate them about the risks and benefits associated with each approach.
- Surgical Procedures: Perform total joint replacement surgeries using advanced surgical techniques and technologies. This includes pre-operative planning, intraoperative procedures, and post-operative care management.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients throughout the treatment continuum.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, rehabilitation protocols, expected outcomes, and potential complications associated with total joint replacement surgery. - Provide guidance on post-operative care and lifestyle modifications to optimize recovery and long-term joint health.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of an accredited residency program in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction or Total Joint Replacement Surgery
- State medical license and DEA registration
- Excellent surgical skills and proficiency in total joint replacement procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare team
