We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Orthopedic Surgeon to join our medical team in Maryland. As an Orthopedic Surgeon, you will diagnose and treat injuries and diseases related to the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. You will perform surgical procedures to repair, reconstruct, or replace damaged tissues, providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient consultations to assess medical conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans.
Perform surgical procedures, including but not limited to joint replacement, fracture repair, arthroscopy, and soft tissue reconstruction.
Interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, and post-operative care instructions.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay current with advances in orthopedic surgery through continuing education, conferences, and professional development activities.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and staff.
Contribute to the overall success and growth of the orthopedic department through active participation in departmental meetings, committees, and strategic planning efforts.

Qualifications

Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
Valid medical license to practice in Maryland.
Fellowship training in a subspecialty of orthopedic surgery is preferred but not required.
Proven experience performing orthopedic surgeries independently.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Willingness to participate in on-call duties and weekend rounds as needed.
