Position Details:

• Patient Population: All ages, trauma and orthopedic surgery cases

• Setting: Hospital-based practice at Covenant HealthCare

• Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, treat, and surgically manage complex orthopedic trauma cases

  • Provide specialized care for polytrauma, acute fractures, joint injuries, nonunion/malunion fractures, bone infections, and musculoskeletal traumas

  • Work collaboratively with a 10-physician orthopedic team

  • Call responsibility: Approximately 4 calls per month

• Required Procedures: Orthopedic trauma surgeries, including pelvis and extremity fractures, joint injuries, and complex reconstructions

• EMR System: EPIC

• Support Staff: Multidisciplinary team, including orthopedic surgeons, trauma specialists, and advanced practice providers

• Days Per Month: Full-time schedule with call coverage

• On-Call/Weekends: 4 calls per month

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS only) - Required

• Fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Trauma - Required

• Active MI license or in process of obtaining - Highly Preferred

• 2+ years of experience in Orthopedic Trauma - Preferred
