Position Overview: Sports Medicine Physician
- Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Sports Medicine Physician to join its dedicated team in Fort Lauderdale. This full-time opportunity focuses on delivering comprehensive, non-surgical musculoskeletal care to a diverse patient population. The role emphasizes a holistic and collaborative approach to patient care, bridging primary care and orthopedic surgical interventions.
Clinical Evaluation:
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including acute injuries and chronic disorders.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including interpreting X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other diagnostic tests.
Treatment:
- Administer non-surgical treatments such as:
- Physical therapy referrals.
- Joint injections (e.g., PRP, orthobiologic treatments) under ultrasound guidance.
- Pain management advice and therapeutic bracing.
- Recommend cutting-edge interventions like stem cell therapy.
Patient Education:
- Provide comprehensive education on conditions, including surgical and non-surgical options.
- Advise on injury prevention, ergonomics, and exercises to enhance strength and mobility.
Collaboration & Referral:
- Partner with orthopedic surgeons to identify cases requiring surgical care.
- Refer patients to specialists or programs such as Exercise as Medicine for tailored interventions.
Other Duties:
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Training or extensive experience in non-operative orthopedics or sports medicine.
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Sports Medicine.
- Valid state medical license.
- Proficiency in musculoskeletal ultrasound or similar diagnostic tools.
- Preferred Experience
- Outpatient care with an emphasis on non-surgical musculoskeletal care.
- Expertise in utilizing diagnostic imaging and tools to enhance patient outcomes.
