**Orthopedic Spine Surgery opening in Phoenix, AZ** * Full-time, permanent opening * Joining an established practice * Will be responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions related to the spine using minimally invasive procedures * Requires a thorough understanding of spinal anatomy, the ability to perform complex spinal interventions, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care * Competitive compensation and benefits! **Key Responsibilities:** * Patient Assessment and Diagnosis: * Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations. * Utilize diagnostic tools such as MRI, CT scans, X-rays, and other imaging modalities to identify spinal disorders. * Develop and discuss appropriate treatment plans with patients, including surgical and non-surgical options. * Interventional Procedures: * Perform minimally invasive spine procedures such as epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablations, and spinal cord stimulator placements. * Conduct advanced surgical techniques, including decompressions, fusions, and disc replacements. * Ensure the use of sterile techniques and adherence to best practices in the operating room. * Postoperative Care and Follow-Up: * Monitor patients' recovery and manage postoperative complications. * Provide comprehensive postoperative care instructions and coordinate follow-up appointments. * Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare providers to optimize patient recovery. * Collaboration and Communication: * Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, pain management specialists, physical therapists, and radiologists. * Communicate effectively with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery plans. * Participate in case discussions, medical rounds, and team meetings. * Research and Education: * Stay updated with the latest advancements in spinal surgery and interventional techniques. * Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to research activities. * Educate medical students, residents, and fellows through lectures and hands-on training. * Administrative Duties: * Maintain accurate and timely medical records. * Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical regulations, and quality standards. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols. **Qualifications:** * Education: * Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. * Completion of an accredited residency program in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery. * Fellowship training in Spine Surgery or Interventional Pain Management. * Licensure/Certification: * Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, or Pain Management. * Valid Arizona medical license * Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). * Experience: * Proven experience in performing interventional spine procedures and surgeries. * Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating spinal disorders. * Skills: * Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
