Dentist opening in AZ Located in Casa Grande 50 Miles from Phoenix Full Time Permanent position ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Assesses patient health by interviewing patient, performing visual examinations, obtaining, updating and studying medical and dental health histories; 2. Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting the test results; 3. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records; 4. Performs therapeutic procedures by ordering and/or administering injections, suturing, managing wounds and infections, and performing corrective, preventive and/or restorative procedures; 5. Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, providing counseling on problems of daily care, and promoting wellness and health maintenance; 6. Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans; 7. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols; 8. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations; 9. Complies with Federal, State and Local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions; 10. Aides in monitoring, orienting and assisting dental residents; 11. Develops dental care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities; 12. Aides the Chair, Dental by supervising staff (as necessary), contributing information regarding staff performance, and discussing staff requirements; 13. Serves on committees aimed at compliance, quality assurance and management, and performs peer review as requested; 14. Maintains Clinic standards of care by adhering to the Arizona State Board of Dentistry and those of other governing agencies; 15. Adheres to expectations of required/mandatory in-services, certifications, and licensure. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 16. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies; 17. Participates in in-service/education regarding Quality Improvement; 18. Performs all other related duties as assigned or requested. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment; - Knowledge of state and federal regulations where applicable. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - High School diploma or equivalency; - Bachelors Degree; - Doctor of Dentistry degree; - Current Arizona State DDS or DMD license; - One to three years experience in a Dentist capacity.
