The general Dentist is responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to health center patients, including definitive, emergency, restorative and preventive dental care.
Dentist Responsibilities:
- Performs routine examinations and treatment.
- Diagnoses ailments of oral cavity. Performs and interprets X-rays.
- Performs teeth cleaning and dental work, including crowns, bridges, dentures, etc.
- Performs limited dental surgery, restricted to extractions.
- Documents patients dental history and treatment.
- Supervises dental assistants and hygienists.
- Performs patient pain management techniques.
- Complies with applicable policies and procedures and supports the Compliance Program.
- Contributes to organizational operations by performing other duties as may be required.

Qualifications:
- DDS/DMD from a dental education program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation
- Current, valid NYS license to practice dentistry
- Active NY DEA Registration
- Other certifications as required by state to include- CPR/ DEA
- Eligible to Work in the US
