**Surgical Retina Specialist opening in NY** Located in Cooperstown, NY Albany 70m; Syracuse 90m; New York City 190m Description: Surgical Retina Specialist needed to join this integrated health care system that provides care and services to people living in an eight county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields. The retina surgeon would be based in Cooperstown, NY with very limited outreach responsibilities. Compensation: - $349,547 - $594,736 plus performance-based compensation. This compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards\ - Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000 - Group Employed Model This is vibrant and sophisticated upstate community set in a beautiful lake front village affording four seasons of cultural and outdoor activity. Responsibilities: - The candidate will be taking over current specialist surgical practice - Currently there are specialists in surgical and medical retina, cornea, pediatrics and glaucoma. - The support staff is well trained and experienced in both the clinic and operating room. - On call is every 6th weekend and rarely busy. - Opportunities exist for both research and teaching if interested.
