Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ophthalmologist to join our team to give back to America’s heroes and help them receive their well-deserved Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits in Bangor.
Summary
- Part-time, 1-2 days / week
- $1600 / day
- 5 appts / day
- No treating or prescribing
- No refraction
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. No refraction required
- Diagnose visual disorders and document findings
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and medical terminology.
- Utilize systems for managing patient appointments and medical records efficiently.
Experience
- MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state license to practice medicine. ANY STATE
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the visual system and common ocular diseases.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient interaction.
- Previous assessment experience preferred, but not required.
