Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ophthalmologist to join our team to give back to America’s heroes and help them receive their well-deserved Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits in Bangor.

Summary

  • Part-time, 1-2 days / week
  • $1600 / day
  • 5 appts / day
  • No treating or prescribing
  • No refraction

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. No refraction required
  • Diagnose visual disorders and document findings
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and medical terminology.
  • Utilize systems for managing patient appointments and medical records efficiently.

Experience

  • MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license to practice medicine. ANY STATE
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the visual system and common ocular diseases.
  • Familiarity with medical records management systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient interaction.
  • Previous assessment experience preferred, but not required.
