VA Northern California Health Care System is looking for Glaucoma Specialist to join our team of comprehensive and subspecialist ophthalmologists in Sacramento Valley. At the Sacramento VA Medical Center your clinic will run the gamut of comprehensive ophthalmology to tertiary care glaucoma. You will have the opportunity to perform the latest MIGS (Hydrus, iStent, Xen, Micropulse, KDB) as well as other incisional glaucoma surgery with experienced eye nurses in the operating room in your own OR time as well as training residents. Responsibilities to include clinical care, resident supervision, and training in both the outpatient and operating room settings.
We are affiliated with the UC Davis Hospital System, have state of the art operating rooms and are a modern full-service hospital. We serve as the sub-specialty referral center for eye conditions in Northern California. There is dedicated technician support, on-site lasers, LenStar, optometry, and an on-site optical shop. Other onsite specialists include cornea, glaucoma and retina/vitreous. It is a friendly, rewarding environment, with appreciative patients. Academic appointments with UC Davis School of Medicine may be available and opportunities for teaching and research abound. (Glaucoma Specialist or Comprehensive with strong Glaucoma skills and ability to train into/perform MIGS Glaucoma Surgery)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

- Expected Salary range for well qualified Primary Care will range from $290,000.00 to $380,000.00, with consideration given to candidate's qualifications, credentials, and experience; and may include up to $15,000 in Annual Performance Bonus. Selected candidate may be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), and if approved, receive up to $200k in school loan repayment.
