The Portland Clinic is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Ophthalmologist to join a busy and established group. We have office locations in Beaverton and South Portland. The group provides centralized services that include Ophthalmology, Optometry, ENT care all aspects of the specialty, quality/population health, Rx Refills, and clinical call center and wrap-around clinical services such behavioral health, social work, diabetes services, and COAG clinic.

Job Responsibilities
• Active hospital privileges (at least one local hospital- usually St. Vincent Medical Center) for consultation/evaluation, pre/post-operative care and treatment for patients presenting with eye illness/injury/disorders; participate in hospital call schedule (usually 2 weeks per year).
• Participate in community group (EyeHealth Northwest, Child Eye Care Associates), call schedule (usually 4 weekends per year).
• Maintain patient panel
• Perform routine and medical eye exams to include refraction adjustment from initial technician refraction if necessary.
• Perform cataract extraction with intraocular lens insertion (phacoemulsification/extracapsular cataract extraction) as needed for evaluated patients.
• Perform pterygium excision with/without autograft as needed for evaluated patients.
• Perform blepharoplasty surgery as needed for evaluated patients.
• Perform YAG laser capsulotomy as needed for post-surgical patients.
• Perform laser peripheral iridotomies as needed for narrow angle/closed angle evaluated patients.
• Perform eyelid lesion removal as needed for evaluated patients.
• Perform chalazion incision/curettage as needed for evaluated patients.
• Minimum of 30-hour work week.
