This position is specifically for Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) and offers a flexible scheduling arrangement. Cases will be referred to you based on your availability, allowing you to choose the assignments that align with your schedule and decline those that do not.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review Medical Records: Thoroughly review and analyze patient medical documents related to ophthalmic conditions, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each case.
- Conduct Physical Exams: Perform in-person evaluations and examinations of patients with ophthalmic issues to assess their condition and provide accurate diagnoses.
- Address Clinical Questions: Effectively respond to clinical queries from insurance carriers regarding ophthalmic matters, offering expert insights and recommendations.
- Prepare Reports: Deliver detailed IME reports within an expected turnaround time of 5 days, providing a comprehensive overview of the patient's condition, examination findings, and professional opinions.
