Job Description
- The successful applicant will join a dynamic ophthalmology service with 16 comprehensive and subspecialty ophthalmologists and 8 optometrists.
- As a teaching hospital, our MDs qualify for academic appointments at UMass Chan School of Medicine and adjunct academic appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine, where our physicians are a part of the Tufts Ophthalmology Residency program.
- Our glaucoma division comprises of four glaucoma specialists on staff, an AUPO approved glaucoma fellowship and an international fellowship program. Our glaucoma specialists are not only involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellows, but also committed to global work in El Salvador, Turkey, Egypt, and Tanzania.
- All 3 ophthalmology clinic sites and operating rooms at the Peabody campus have state of the art equipment and imaging technologies.
- The successful candidate will be expected to take part in resident and medical student teaching and collaborate with colleagues on clinical, academic, and administrative projects. Research interests are welcomed and supported, though not a requirement for this position.
