Locums – Champaign, Illinois, Ophthalmology Opening
  • Clinical Role:
    • Do you know someone that might be a good fit for this position? Please ask about our generous referral fees!
    • Coverage Dates:
    • 9/9-9/13, 10/7-10/11, 11/4-11/8, and 12/2-12/6. Possibly additional dates as well
    • Hours are Monday-Friday 8a-5p; must have at least one week/month of availability, with night and weekend call TBD to be considered (retina call only--no general)
    • Little to no inpatient practice, Call TBD weekends, nights, and holiday
    • # of Physicians/APPs in Dept.: 1 surgical retina and 1 medical retina. 1 cornea specialist, 1 neuro ophthalmologist, 3 general ophthalmologists, 1 pediatric ophthalmologist, and 5 OD’s
    • Patient Population Mix: 5% Pediatric, 95% Adult
    • 34 Patients Per Day
    • Support Staff: mix of Ophthalmic assistants, certified assistants and CMA’s. They gather CC, HPI, ROS, VA, IOP, Pupils, CVF, EOM, Dilation and any diagnostic testing needed
    • Procedures Required: Retina lasers, injections, general visits, interpretation of imaging
    • Reason for Locum Need: Patient volume
    • 453 Beds in Facility
    • Level I Trauma Center
    • EMR: Epic
    • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology, fellowship in Vitreo Retinal Surgery
    • IL License Active – Required
    • BLS Certification - Required
    • PALS Certification - Required
