North Coast Ophthalmology is seeking a full-time Ophthalmology physician to join its private practice serving patients throughout Humboldt County. This position will primarily be at a full-spectrum outpatient clinic, but since the practice also has exclusive access to the ambulatory surgery center, Humboldt Physicians Surgery and Laser Center, you can expect to participate in eye surgeries as well. The role will also inherit a fully established patient panel, call is split evenly amongst all physicians, and you will have the opportunity to become a shareholder of the clinic and ambulatory surgery center.   • Full-time, Monday to Friday schedule

  • Compensation is between $300,000 and $325,000 per year

  • The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. The clinic supports a wide spectrum of cases including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, dry eye disease, and much more. It also has a close affiliation with the Humboldt Physicians Surgery and Laser Center, giving it access to state-of-the-art ophthalmology surgical facilities which allow providers to take advantage of the latest cataract surgery techniques.
