  • Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
  • Other Details: A Level 2 Trauma facility is seeking a board-certified Radiation Oncologist for full-time locum coverage. Providers must commit to 4-week stretches with no time off during that period, though time off between blocks is allowed. The practice consists of one physician with no other Radiation Oncologists present during locum coverage. The provider will see 20–25 outpatient adult patients per day, including those on treatment, follow-ups, and consults, with minimal inpatient volume (0–1/day). Required procedures include Conventional Radiotherapy, 3D Radiotherapy, IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT, SBRT, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Photon Beam Radiation Therapy, and Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy. Familiarity with Aria EMR is highly preferred. COVID vaccination, and availability to start ASAP.

Job Responsibilities

- Provide full-time Radiation Oncology coverage during 4-week blocks with no time off during each stretch
- Manage 20–25 outpatient adult patients per day, including weekly treatment visits, follow-ups, and consults
- Perform required procedures such as IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT, SBRT, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and Photon Beam Therapy
- Minimal inpatient responsibilities (0–1 patient per day)
- Use Aria EMR for documentation and patient management

Qualifications

- Board certified in Radiation Oncology
- Active Iowa medical license or IMLC (must be in hand at the time of submission)
- COVID vaccination required
- Experience with Aria EMR highly preferred
- Must be able to start upon credentialing (temp privileges available, 30–60 days)
- Local candidates within driving distance preferred

Working Hours

- Full-time coverage only
- 4-week blocks with no time off during the stretch
- Day shifts only
- Opportunity to take time off between 4-week assignments
