Job Description:
Seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Radiation Oncologist to join a highly integrated Radiation Oncology Service Line team of seven physicians in Yankton, SD
Practice Details:
Current Facility Features:
- Advanced treatment modalities including Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), and 3D Conformal External Beam Radiation Therapy
- Utilization of RayStation and MIM for treatment planning
- Equipped with an Elekta Infinity Accelerator and Mosaiq Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

Future Facility Expansion:
- A new comprehensive cancer center is scheduled to open in early 2026
- The newly renovated facility will offer:
- Medical oncology services
- Radiation oncology with a newly installed Varian TrueBeam system

Medical Group Radiation Oncology Service Line:
Integration and Collaboration:
- Single Radiation Oncology EMR and Treatment Planning Software across all six sites
- Opportunities to participate in service line committees, including:
- Chart Rounds
- Multidisciplinary Conferences across various disease sites
- Clinical Quality Review
- Service Line Steering Committees
- Cancer Committee
Call and Support:
- 1:8 service line weekend call rotation, with first call managed by the Cancer Institute Navigation Center
- 24/7 oncology nursing first-call coverage through the navigation center
Comprehensive Cancer Program:
- Includes services such as Medical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Hematology, Transplant & Cellular Therapy, Comprehensive Breast Surgery, Cancer Research, Palliative Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and more
