Radiation Oncologist Opportunity – Central Kentucky

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncologist to join a well-established and expanding practice in Central Kentucky. This 410-bed acute and skilled care facility is dedicated to community outreach and medical training, ensuring quality care is accessible in rural areas. With a service area of nearly 200,000 residents, this hospital offers cutting-edge treatment, including one of the fastest-growing robotics programs in Kentucky.

Position Highlights:

Practice Overview:

  • Operating hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

  • Call responsibilities per medical staff bylaws.

  • Radiation procedures include:

    • External Beam 3D Radiation Therapy

    • Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)

    • Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)

    • CT Simulation

  • Average of 15 on-treatment patients per day over the last six months.

  • CT simulations three days per week, averaging a couple per day.

  • One Linear Accelerator (Varian TrueBeam).

  • Aria Radiation EMR and Eclipse Radiation Planning System.

  • Support staff includes:

    • 1 Full-Time Physicist

    • 1 Full-Time Certified Dosimetrist

    • Lead Radiation Therapist + 2 Full-Time Radiation Therapists + PRN

    • 2 Nurse Navigators

    • Full-time Licensed Social Worker and Dietitian

    • Financial Support Services

  • Epic EMR for clinic practice.

  • Average clinic schedule includes approximately six patients per day, with two to three consults daily.

  • Dedicated RN supporting on-treatment and clinic patients.
