Location: Just minutes from Oregon beaches! About 2 hours to Eugene, OR and a little over 3 hours to Salem, OR! Located on the banks of the Pacific Ocean, it is the largest city on the Oregon Coast. It is a great place to live, work, and play!

Facility: Hospital offering a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. The hospital’s inpatient and outpatient services include medical, surgical, pediatric, critical care, home health, outpatient and acute inpatient psychiatric, oncology, obstetrical, and other specialties.

Opportunity:
  • Full-time position
  • 80 hours per pay period
  • Shift as assigned
  • Salary dependent on experience, with maximum rate reflecting significant experience in a 40-hour-per-week position
  • Provide a broad range of Radiation Oncology services to their patients
  • Adhere to established guidelines, ethics, policies, and protocols of Bay Area Hospital, Bay Area Cancer Center, and the profession
  • Collaborate with the Oncology Service Line Administrator and the BACC staff as a cooperative and collegial team member
  • Perform clinical care tasks, including consultations, outpatient clinic work, and inpatient rounding
  • Exercise good judgment, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Flexible and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities concurrently
  • Work effectively under stress and frequently changing job requirements
  • Strong communication, organizational, and team-building skills
  • Professionalism with consistent quality, evidence-based, and compassionate care

  • Wide spectrum of radiation oncology skills, including 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, SAbR, SRS, 4DCT, and DIBH
  • Proficiency with software interfaces such as Aria, Mosaiq, Eclipse, MIM, Pinnacle, EPIC, and Cerner
  • Meet criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges
  • Board Certified or eligible within the past 2 years
  • Hold or obtain an Oregon medical license
  • Experience practicing radiation oncology with a strong record or an excellent recent graduate
  • Practice-building experience is a plus
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch
  • Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond to patient care needs
  • Adequate hearing, visual acuity, and color vision required
  • Fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and the ability to handle objects
  • Use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair, or wheelchair
  • Follow standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
  • Communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or over the phone
  • Qualify for federal school loan forgiveness program
