Join Our Team as a Radiation Oncologist in Coos Bay, OR
Are you a Board Certified or Board Eligible Radiation Oncologist looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Oregon, a 127-bed Level III Trauma facility, is seeking a compassionate and skilled physician to join their team at the Bay Area Cancer Center. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide a broad range of Radiation Oncology services to Bay Area Cancer Center patients.
- Perform clinical care tasks, including consultations, outpatient clinic work, and inpatient rounding.
- Collaborate effectively with the Oncology Service Line Administrator and BACC staff.
- Adhere to established guidelines, ethics, policies, and protocols of both the hospital and oncology center.
- Utilize a wide spectrum of radiation oncology skills including 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, SAbR, SRS, and more.
- Demonstrate professionalism and provide evidence-based, compassionate care.
- Work part-time, approximately 16-24 hours per week over 2-3 days.
- Exhibit strong communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology.
- Fellowship-trained in Radiation Oncology.
- Experience practicing in radiation oncology or an excellent record as a recent graduate.
- Practice-building experience is a plus.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and consistent quality in patient care.
- Proficiency with radiation oncology software interfaces such as Aria, Mosaiq, Eclipse, and EPIC.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must hold or be willing to obtain an Oregon medical license.
- Clean malpractice history/background.
- Copy of the NPDB self-query report.
- Residency in the immediate local area is required.
