Job Opportunity: Medical Physicist in Davenport, IA

The nationally accredited cancer care program in Davenport, IA, is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Medical Physicist. Join a dedicated team that provides collaborative care and offers advanced treatments such as SRS, SBRT, IMRT, DIBH, and SGRT. The facility utilizes state-of-the-art technology including TomoTherapy Hi-Art and Varian TrueBeam, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide safe therapeutic radiological physics to the Radiation Oncology Department.
• Ensure equipment safety, quality patient care, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in patient-specific QA, chart QA, linear accelerator QA, plan checks, and support for Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and therapists.
• Calibrate and commission linear accelerators and other radiation sources.
• Implement new technologies as needed.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals.
• Maintain a good work ethic and strive for excellence within a team environment.

Qualifications:

• MS or PhD in Radiology/Radiological Sciences.
• Board Eligible with plans to become Board Certified or Board Certified in Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP).
• Clean malpractice history.
• Willingness to become registered in Iowa as a Radiation Therapy Physicist.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Valid Iowa license or willingness to obtain.
• Requires J1 or H1B visa support if applicable.
