We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Radiation Oncologist to join our team in Mason City, IA. The Radiation Oncologist will provide high-quality care for cancer patients, specializing in the use of radiation therapy to treat various types of cancer. This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility while being a part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering the best care possible.

Responsibilities:
Evaluate and diagnose patients with cancer and determine appropriate radiation therapy treatment plans.
Use advanced radiation technology, including 3D-conformal radiation therapy (3D-CRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and brachytherapy.
Develop individualized radiation treatment plans based on the patient's diagnosis, medical history, and overall treatment goals.
Collaborate with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive cancer care and ensure effective, multidisciplinary treatment approaches.
Monitor and assess patient progress, including managing side effects and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Provide patient education on radiation therapy, treatment options, potential side effects, and expected outcomes.
Review medical imaging (CT, MRI, PET scans) and coordinate radiation therapy with diagnostic teams.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) for all patient encounters.
Participate in tumor boards and other clinical meetings to discuss patient treatment and progress.
Stay current on advancements in radiation oncology and participate in continuing medical education to maintain professional knowledge and certifications.
Provide on-call coverage for emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

Board Eligible (to become BC within 3 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Radiation Oncology - REQUIRED
Active IA license or IMLC (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
