Locum Radiation Oncologist - Massachusetts Located in Springfield, MA Assignment Dates: October 2024 through Summer 2025 Rate: Negotiable (tell us your rate) Job Details: Location: Massachusetts Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient Reason for Coverage: Gaps while recruiting Call Ratio: Every other week Physicians in Practice: 2 Other Radiation Oncologists present during coverage APP Coverage: 1 Average Patients per Day (Outpatient): 25 Average Patients per Day (Inpatient): Variable (approx. 1 per week) Patient Population: Adult, Office/Clinic, Hospital-based EMR Systems: Meditech and Mosaiq Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days Travel: Local provider only (mileage reimbursed) Required Procedures: Conventional Radiotherapy 3D Radiotherapy 3D Conformal, IMRT, SBRT, and SRS (No brachytherapy required) External Beam Radiation: 3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT Stereotactic Radiosurgery Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy Required Duties: Orders tests and images Prescribes treatment Sees both inpatient and outpatient consults Participates in treatment planning Conducts weekly on-treatment visits and follow-ups Participates in weekly Tumor Boards Requirements: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology Active MA License or in process Active DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance License Experience with 3D Conformal, IMRT, SBRT, and SRS Experience with Pinnacle, Velocity, Mosaiq, and Epic preferred but not required Strong communication skills and accurate documentation
