Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncologist to join their oncology team. The Radiation Oncologist will be responsible for the treatment and care of patients diagnosed with cancer, utilizing radiation therapy to manage and treat their conditions. This role involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient evaluations, including reviewing medical histories and conducting physical exams to determine appropriate radiation treatment plans
  • Design and prescribe radiation therapy treatment plans in collaboration with medical physicists and dosimetrists
  • Administer and oversee radiation therapy, ensuring precise delivery of treatment
  • Monitor and adjust treatments based on patient response and side effects
  • Collaborate with oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for cancer patients
  • Educate patients and families about treatment options, potential side effects, and long-term outcomes
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of treatment plans, procedures, and patient progress
  • Participate in tumor boards, case discussions, and other clinical meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Stay current with advancements in radiation oncology techniques and technologies
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines to ensure safe administration of radiation therapy

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology
  • Valid medical license to practice in New York.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Radiation Oncology
  • Strong clinical knowledge in cancer biology, radiation therapy techniques, and emerging treatment modalities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient care and collaboration with the medical team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse patient population
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development


Please note- The annual base salary range is $280k to $400k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
