Mercy Medical Center is seeking Locum Radiation Oncologist to help with ongoing coverage starting October 2024 through summer 2025
Practice Setting: inpatient and outpatient
Reason for Coverage: gaps while we recruit
Dates of Coverage: October 2024 through summer 2025
Call Ratio: every other week
Number of Physicians in Practice: 2
Will There be Other Radiation Oncologists Present During Locum Tenens Coverage? yes
How Many APPs Provide Coverage? 1
Average Number of Patients Per Day - OUTPATIENT (Clinic/Office): 25
Average Number of Patients Per Day - INPATIENT (Call/Rounding): variable 1 per week
Patient Population for Required Coverage: Adult, Office/Clinic, Hospital Based
Documentation System/EMR: meditech/ mosaiq
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days approx.
Provider Must be local - only mileage is reimbursed
Required Procedures:
- Conventional Radiotherapy
- 3D Radiotherapy
- 3D conformal, IMRT, SBRT and SRS (No brachy needed)
- External Beam Radiation - 3D-CRT
- External Beam Radiation - IGRT
- External Beam Radiation - IMRT
- Stereotactic Radiosurgery
- Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
- Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy
- Orders Tests
- Orders Images
- Prescribes
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Active MA License is required or pending (in process)
- Needs active DEA and Massachusetts controlled substance license
- Experience with following radiation techniques: 3D conformal, IMRT, SBRT and SRS (No brachy needed)
- Experience with following software is preferred but not required: Pinnacle, Velocity, Mosaiq and Epic
- Will be asked to see both inpatient and outpatient consults, do treatment planning, see weekly on-treatment visits and follow up patients
- Will participate in weekly Tumor Boards
- Looking for someone with excellent communication skills who works well with patients and staff
- Looking for someone who documents accurately and promptly in the EMR
