The University of Arizona Department of Radiation Oncology is currently seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join a team of six physicians. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a team of established faculty, while providing support to a busy service line is Southern Arizona. The qualified candidate will have an academic appointment with the University of Arizona consistent with their credentials.


Job Details

  • Clinic Hours: Monday – Friday (8 AM – 5 PM)
    • Call Schedule: 1 day / week. 1 weekend / 7 weeks
  • Patient Load: 100-150 daily clinic & treatment visits; 180-200 new patient consultation per year

Qualifications

  • BE/BC in Radiation Oncology
  • AZ medical license
  • Desire to teach and mentor residents and medical students
  • New grads and experienced physicians encouraged to apply

University of Arizona Cancer Center (UACC) is a National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated comprehensive cancer center dedicated to the prevention and cure of cancer through patient care, research and education. The Department of Radiation Oncology is an essential component of the UACC organized to teach students and house staff, excel at clinical and clinical-translational research, and to bring to patients' state-of-the-art treatment. The Department has 6 attending physicians, 7 resident physicians, 5 staff physicists, 2 resident physicists, 5 dosimetrists, 16 therapists, 6 nurses, 3 medical assistants & various other ancillary staff including administrative, billing, research & front desk personnel.
