Offering Opportunity for Board Certified Radiation Oncologist
Description
Center is seeking a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist with proton therapy experience to serve our patients.
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, growing comprehensive cancer provider in a family-oriented region that boasts abundant natural beauty. The hired physician will work with a team of oncology professionals consisting of radiation oncologists along with a dedicated and compassionate radiotherapy support staff of two advanced practice providers, six medical physicists, five medical dosimetrists, seventeen radiation therapists, six registered nurses, and two medical assistants.
Requirements:
Board Certified in Radiation Oncology with ABR;
5+ years clinical experience;
Proton experience preferred;
Committed to quality and compassionate patient care;
Must be willing to play an active and visible role in the community;
Help promote the practice through various community and relationship-building events.
or eligible for unencumbered medical license and DEA certificate in Tennessee;
Center:
Center is a growing APEx-accredited organization in its seventh year of operation and has treated nearly 4000 patients from around the world. The center currently employs a three-room proton therapy system (one fixed beam and two gantries) with IBA equipment, utilizing pencil beam scanning. The center has two additional treatment rooms available that can be activated as demand requires. Photon modality is provided via an Elekta Synergy linear accelerator. The center maintains the most current available versions of treatment planning software and electronic health record technology through RayStation, Monaco, ElektaXio, and Mosaiq.
Center is the flagship of the expanding Network which includes the Center in Nashville, TN and the center under construction in Orlando, Florida.
Patient Load Averages:
75 Treatments per day (for the entire center)
600 New R.T. patients last year
8 Consults per week per physician
Payor Mix:
Medicare 76%, Commercial 16%, Self-Pay 5%, Medicaid/Charity 3%.
