Join Mercy Health Physicians growing Oncology practice in the Youngstown, Ohio market taking care of a cancer patient population that is very rewarding. You will join a truly comprehensive community cancer service line striving to exceed the needs of the community through strategic development of programs and services. The care provided by all providers associated with the cancer service line is patient centric, multi-disciplinary and collegial, highlighted by multiple weekly tumor boards and maintaining national cancer accreditations. This opportunity provides the Radiation Oncologist with a supportive team from administration to support staff with a focus of exceeding the expectations of our patients.
The Radiation Oncologist will provide his/her expertise to assist in the creation of programs and services to provide benefit to our patients and lead the department into the future of cancer care! This is an opportunity for a strong clinician and medical leader looking for such a unique role.
- The radiation oncologist will support our hospital-based group with three locations and one joint venture location, focused on prostate cancer, in the Greater Youngstown, Ohio region.
- The radiation oncology department provides the following services throughout the four locations: IMRT/IGRT/VMAT/SBRT/SRS/ABC breath hold/High dose rate brachytherapy.
- Candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to develop and strengthen the cancer treatment team. Board certification or eligibility required.
- Mercy hospital is committed to increasing offerings of multidisciplinary site-specific tumor boards and clinics with dedicated nurse navigators.
- Radiation Oncology department includes the following support staff: nurse practitioner, medical physicists, dosimetrists, dedicated nursing, dietician and social workers.
