We are seeking an exceptional Medical Breast Oncology Physician to join our multidisciplinary Breast Oncology Program within the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Department of Medicine. This is a full-time academic position with outstanding opportunities for clinical practice, programmatic leadership, innovation, and research collaboration in the heart of Boston, MA
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Medical Oncology Lead for the multidisciplinary Breast Oncology Program.
- Provide patient care at a central Boston location, with opportunities to expand clinical reach to community offices in suburban Stoneham and Framingham.
- Participate in the weekly breast cancer-specific multidisciplinary tumor board.
- Lead collaboration and programmatic growth across the health system.
- Share inpatient oncology and consult service coverage with faculty.
- Benefit from first-call night and weekend coverage by fellows for the practice.
- Engage in interdisciplinary and translational research collaboration and teaching at all levels of medical education.
- Support the fellowship training program in hematology and medical oncology, which includes:
- Five fellows per year in a three-year program.
- A unique structure with exclusive ambulatory experience in the first year.
- Mentored research projects during the second and third years.
- Provide care to a diverse ethnic and economic population, including nearby communities, offering access to cutting-edge cancer treatments and diagnostics.
Requirements:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology.
- Early career candidates with a focus on Breast Cancer care are especially encouraged to apply.
- Experience in the clinical use of chemotherapeutic, targeted biologic, and immunotherapeutic agents preferred.
- Research experience in clinical trial implementation and execution is a plus.
