Overview:
This is a hybrid clinical/administrative position reporting to the medical director of the Cancer Institute
The successful candidate will oversee 18 medical oncologists, a neuro-oncologist and 18 APPs practicing across 4 sites in metro KC
In conjunction with the cancer service line director, the Chief would be responsible for human resource distribution, quality metrics, support of COC, QOPI, NAPBC accreditation, developing new programmatic initiatives, supporting initiatives and fostering research across the enterprise
QOPI certified, COC INCP, NAPBC, NAPRC (pending) accredited program and includes medical oncology, gyn-oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology and dedicated breast imaging
The Center for Precision Oncology, within medical oncology, supports clinical precision medicine as well as research initiatives
A robust research program includes more than 60 active clinical trials supported by a mature research infrastructure
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years practicing in a comprehensive program, have leadership experience, excellent communication abilities, people management skills, and the ability to successfully function in a complex health system environment
