**Chief of Medical Oncology Opening in Kansas City, MO** - Located in Kansas City, MO - Full time; Employed - Seeking BC/BE, Fellowship Trained Overview: - This is a hybrid clinical/administrative position reporting to the medical director of the Cancer Institute - The successful candidate will oversee 18 medical oncologists, a neuro-oncologist and 18 APPs practicing across 4 sites in metro KC - In conjunction with the cancer service line director, the Chief would be responsible for human resource distribution, quality metrics, support of COC, QOPI, NAPBC accreditation, developing new programmatic initiatives, supporting initiatives and fostering research across the enterprise - QOPI certified, COC INCP, NAPBC, NAPRC (pending) accredited program and includes medical oncology, gyn-oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology and dedicated breast imaging - The Center for Precision Oncology, within medical oncology, supports clinical precision medicine as well as research initiatives - A robust research program includes more than 60 active clinical trials supported by a mature research infrastructure - The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years practicing in a comprehensive program, have leadership experience, excellent communication abilities, people management skills, and the ability to successfully function in a complex health system environment Comp/Benefits: - Guaranteed salary - Medical, dental, vision - Malpractice insurance - Tax-deferred retirement plan with employer match - Paid time off & a generous yearly CME allowance **About the location:** - Faith-based, not-for-profit organization - Health System is an aligned organization where physicians and staff assume responsibility for enhancing the physical, mental, and spiritual health of people in the metropolitan Kansas City area and the surrounding regions - Kansas City area boasts high-quality schools and friendly neighborhoods - The greater Kansas City metro area is a vibrant, growing community known for its barbecue, jazz, thriving arts scene, world champion sports teams, natural beauty, and exceptional quality of life - You'll also find dozens of museums, shopping and entertainment districts, wineries and breweries, the Kansas City Zoo, hiking and biking trails, and a diverse array of restaurants
