Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Oregon is seeking a full-time or part-time Medical Oncologist and/or Hematologist to join our renowned cancer center, serving as the primary hub for top-tier cancer care across the southern coast of Oregon.
Job Description:
- Accepting part-time (48 hours per pay period) and full-time (80 hours per pay period) candidates.
- BE (within 2 years)/BC in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
- Experience practicing Radiation Oncology with a strong record (or an excellent recent graduate) is preferred.
- Demographics for this area are roughly 20% Hematology, 80% Oncology.
- Average Number of Patients Per Day - Clinic/Office: 10-15
- Outpatient at Free-Standing Cancer Center -BEAUTIFUL FACILITY.
- No inpatient consults, only outpatient clinic visits and collaboration with infusion
- New 19 chair infusion room
- Onsite mixing pharmacy
- Radiation Oncology onsite
- 8 hour days 1:4 call (primarily critical lab calls)
- A full scope of services that include cardiology, radiology, oncology, emergency care, surgical care (including bariatrics and robotics), critical care, inpatient psychiatry, wound care with hyperbaric medicine, primary care, pediatrics, OB and home health
Requirements:
- TRULY Board Eligible (within 2 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
- OR license (or willing to obtain) –
- Experience practicing Radiation Oncology
- Has ties to Oregon -i.e. family in the area or has lived in OR at some point
On Call: 7 days of call including one weekend, 1:4 (primarily critical lab calls)

Certifications: BLS, Board Certified, Board Eligible
