As an Award-Winning Veteran owned/Woman owned SDVOSB, C&E Pharmacy Services LLC dba Trinity Recruits is seeking the professional services of Oncology Physicians preferably with VA experience. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our Veterans 'those who have borne the battle.'
The Western NY VA Healthcare System is urgently seeking two (2) onsite Board Certified/Board Eligible Oncology Physicians to deliver skilled & expert quality Inpatient & Outpatient services to the Veterans who receive healthcare treatment at this facility. At least three (3) years of Oncology experience is preferred.

Duration of Employment:
10/01/2024 – 9/30/2026

Hours for Service/Shifts:
Monday through Friday (8 hours/day; 40 hours/week): 8.00am EST – 4.30pm EST
On-Call Phone duty (scheduled in conjunction with VA Staff Oncology): At all times when the facility is closed viz. Evenings/Nights, Weekends, & Federal Holidays

Primary Location: Buffalo VAMC, 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215
CBOC (Community Based Outpatient Clinics) Locations: Batavia & Olean depending on outpatient clinic volumes

Salary Range:
$192.00/hour - $225.00/hour

Degree Requirements & Credentialing:

  • Doctor of Medicine(MD), or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine(DO), or an equivalent degree from an approved school in the US or Canada, with accreditation by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association, or, the Association of American Medical Colleges: Liaison Committee on Medical Education, or, the Commission of on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or, an accrediting body recognized by the US Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia
  • Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine Medical Oncology Board
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Covering range of oncology services as expected in an updated State of the Art Medical facility
  • Evaluation, triaging, and prioritizing consults from Primary Care settings for Outpatient Oncology Consults- 26 hours of Bookable time weekly/5 hours Inpatient coverage weekly/9 hours dedicated to clinical follow up weekly
  • Coordination of medical management and care with Primary care providers and other personnel in the multidisciplinary healthcare Team
  • Obtaining of medical history, conducting physical examinations, ordering and evaluating appropriate laboratory tests
  • Planning and prescribing treatments
  • Performing administrative tasks (10% time weekly): peer review & ongoing professional practice evaluations
  • Providing on call oncology services as assigned: Available within 15 minutes for phone consult: Available on-site within 60 minutes
