We are seeking two dedicated and skilled board-certified General Oncology Physicians for a 2-year contract. These positions will focus on providing expert oncology consultation and treatment in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The physicians will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients while coordinating care with primary providers. This role is integral to ensuring the highest quality of oncology care, including administrative and on-call responsibilities, all within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous work in a large healthcare system or government-affiliated institution.
  • Academic involvement or clinical research experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with complex oncology care and multidisciplinary coordination.

Contract Details:

  • 2-year contract.
  • Full-time schedule: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
  • Includes on-call responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive oncology care in inpatient and outpatient settings, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with various cancer diagnoses.
Triage and prioritize consultations from primary care and other specialties for oncology evaluations.
Obtain medical histories, conduct physical examinations, order appropriate laboratory tests, and prescribe treatment plans tailored to individual patients.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure integrated patient care across various medical services.
Engage in administrative tasks such as peer review and professional practice evaluations.
Provide oncology on-call services as required to maintain continuity of care.

Qualifications

Board-certified in Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Expertise in managing both inpatient and outpatient oncology cases.
Eligible for a New York state medical license.
Strong collaboration and communication skills for working within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience with electronic health records and telemedicine is an asset.
