Dane Street is expanding our physician panel! Due to added clients and increased volume, we have an urgent need for board-certified, licensed physicians to support Disability Peer Reviews as a Designated Medical Officer.

Currently, we are seeking the following specialties licensed in any US state:

  • Internal Medicine
  • Family Medicine
  • Neurology
  • Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatrist)
  • Occupational Medicine
  • Psychiatry
  • Medical Oncology
  • ENT
  • Orthopedic Surgery

JOB SUMMARY

  • Physician Reviewer/Advisor utilizes clinical expertise to review medical records provided and return an independent, professional opinion on the claimant’s disability status as it relates to an application for disability benefits or the current status of disability. Determinations are based on the clinical evidence within the medical records provided.

Dane Street supports all referral processes, scheduling, preps cases extensively, prepares all medical records, provides transcription services as applicable, facilitates all client communications, and ensures the quality and timeliness of all reports and report delivery.


Job Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews all medical records and uses clinical expertise to opine and address a very small set of questions (typically one question) posed regarding disability status

Returns cases on or before the due date and time specified

Maintains proper credentialing, required licenses, and any special certifications and adheres to requirements necessary to perform in the role of Physician Reviewer/Advisor

Attends required orientation and training

Performs other duties as assigned including addressing any necessary clarification, providing addendum as required (with additional compensation,) and identifying and responding to potential quality assurance issues, complaints, and regulatory issues.

No peer-to-peer calls are required

Qualifications

Current/active state medical license (any state)
Current board-certification
Active practice
