Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting an Oncologist to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the Buffalo VA Medical Center located at 3495 Bailey Ave, Buffalo, NY 14215. Shift scheduling is generally Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm. Full-time and Locum Tenens positions with generous compensation packages are available.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret mutational and molecular genetic testing to guide chemotherapeutic agent prescribing.
  • Complete life sustaining therapy conferences with patients and family members.
  • Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions treat diseases and disorders of the blood, spleen, lymph glands, and immunologic system, such as anemia, clotting disorders, sickle cell disease, hemophilia, leukemia, and lymph nodes.
  • Administration of chemotherapeutic agents and biological response modifiers through all therapeutic routes.
  • Apheresis procedures.
  • Analyze blood tests manually including blood count, including blood count, including platelets and white cell differential.
  • Diagnostic lumbar puncture.
  • Performing bone marrow aspirates, bone marrow biopsies, and touch preparations as well as interpretation of bonne marrow biopsies.
  • Diagnostic and Therapeutic paracentesis.
  • Management of indwelling venous access catheters.
  • Therapeutic thoracentesis.
Qualifications
  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
  • Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
