OPEN POSITION:
Physician - Oncologist


SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Occasional Weekends
- Shared On-Call


COMPENSATION:
- $300,000 to $350,000 Starting Base Salary

All offices are located within a 30-minute driving radius. A small amount of cross-coverage rotation is required, but that schedule and the exact amount of rotation are negotiable.


COMPANY PROFILE:
This private oncology practice opened more than 40 years ago and boasts a provider staff of 22 physicians and 18 nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Together with their support team, they offer compassionate, high-quality oncology services in comfortable, modern settings with local hospital affiliations. The services of the practice include, among others, cancer treatments, infusion therapy, radiotherapy services, diagnostic imaging, telemedicine, pharmacy, genetic testing, and more.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Physicians see an average of 30 patients per day in the office and are supported by highly trained clinical assistants.

Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- see patients in an outpatient oncology office
- order laboratory and diagnostic testing when needed
- interpret data to determine preliminary diagnoses and therapeutic plans
- see patients for chronic and acute episodic symptoms
- perform outpatient procedures
- administer medications and injections
- instruct patients / family members regarding medications and treatments
- educate patients regarding health maintenance
- collaborate with other physicians as needed

The practice uses the OncoEMR system.

In addition to their outpatient office, the practice also sees patients at nearby hospitals. Very rarely, physicians from the group will provide weekend rounding services at the hospital, which is flexibly scheduled.


REQUIREMENTS:
- Texas medical license
- DEA
- Board Eligible or Certified, Oncology
- no experience required
- current residents and new graduates are welcome to apply
- must speak Spanish fluently (or medical Spanish to a comfort level of full patient visits)
