Order of Saint Francis (OSF) is recruiting a Vice President of Oncology Research for their integrated health system that consists of 15 hospitals, 140+ locations, and 24,000 mission partners (1,500 employed physicians) serving Illinois and Michigan. In March 2024, OSF opened a state-of-the-art cancer diagnostic and treatment facility and is looking for a reputable physician leader in the oncology field to spearhead cancer research initiatives for the system.
The Vice President of Oncology Research serves as the senior leader responsible for driving the clinical research mission of the OSF Cancer Institute. Oversees all oncology clinical research and supporting infrastructure, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, good clinical practice, financial stewardship, and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for the development and activation of the Breakthrough Treatment Center (Early Phase Trial program) at the Cancer Institute, serving initially as the program director. The Vice President is expected to build and conduct a subspecialized oncology practice to include seeing patients in the clinic.
