Overview

OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute is seeking Board Eligible/Board Certified Medical Oncologists to join a team focused on delivering the highest quality care differentiated by access to the most novel therapeutics through our Breakthrough Treatment Center, unique treatment modalities including proton and FLASH therapies, high-end imaging capabilities and a vast array of supportive care services.

In addition to fellowship training, we are looking for innovative, high energy candidates desiring to work at a high-volume cancer institute to develop clinical practices and subspecialized clinical research programs targeting early phase clinical trials. Academic appointments are available at University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria commensurate with credentials and experience.

The Institute is located on the main medical campus in the new $250 million, state-of-the-art cancer diagnostic and treatment facility that opened in February 2024. This institute offers the areas only comprehensive approach to cancer care all in one building.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Licenses/Certifications: Physician Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice medicine in current state. Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.

Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.

Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.

Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the patients served
