Mercy Health Physicians Lorain (MHPL) is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Medical Oncologist to provide compassionate, high quality and personalized care to the residents of the greater Cleveland area.
Opportunity Details:
- Mercy Health Physicians-Lorain is seeking a Medical Oncologist to establish an employed medical oncology practice for the market. This position is a truly unique opportunity to improve the health of this community and break down health disparities. This position is also uncommon in that it will provide the right candidate the opportunity to lead the development of a brand-new service. It is primarily clinical but will also include relationship building with referring physicians, participation in tumor board and the promotion of cancer screenings and other healthy lifestyle habits in the community. A physician could expect a 60% oncology, 40% hematology split
- Candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to develop and strengthen the cancer treatment team. Board certification or eligibility required.
- The care team at includes an on-site breast surgeon, two general surgeons, thoracic surgeon, colorectal surgeon, pulmonology, gastroenterology and pathology. Team includes a growing number of primary care, specialty care providers, nurse practitioners and ancillary personnel including dietician and social workers.
- Located on Mercy Health Lorain Hospital property, infusion services offered include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy and a broad array of oral chemotherapy drugs.
