Role: Physician Medical Director
Location: Madison, WI (East Side)
Mission: Lead clinical and operational excellence in Occupational Medicine + Urgent Care while mentoring teams and improving workplace health outcomes.
Key Focus:

  • Balance direct patient care (80% clinical) with leadership and administrative duties (20%).

  • Drive quality care, compliance, and patient satisfaction in a collaborative outpatient practice.

Job Responsibilities

* Provide 100% center-based patient care, mentoring staff and modeling clinical excellence.
* Partner with leadership to improve workflows, safety, and clinical outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with state regulations (WI Practice Act, WC, OSHA).
* Manage staffing adjustments and oversee drug/alcohol testing as needed.
* Build relationships with employers, payers, and community partners to drive growth.
* Mentor clinicians and foster a culture of collaboration and recognition.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

MD/DO degree from an accredited program.
Active, unrestricted WI medical license and DEA license.
Eligibility to participate in Medicare.

Preferred:

2+ years of clinical leadership experience.
Experience in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, or managed care (training provided for qualified candidates).

Core Competencies:

Leadership in mentoring, training, and developing clinical staff.
Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and compliance skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information (HIPAA/PHI) securely.

Working Hours

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

No nights, weekends, holidays, or call.
