Our client in Santa Barbara County, CA is in need of an Occupational Medicine Physician for a locum assignment!
Job details:
- Start - 02/17/2025
- Full-time Mon-Fri 7:30a-5p
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, manage work restrictions, and support safe return-to-work plans.
- Conduct and interpret OSHA, DOT, fitness-for-duty, and return-to-work exams.
- Order labs, imaging, and referrals; prescribe medications as necessary.
- Perform minor procedures such as wound care and foreign body removal.
- Communicate treatment plans, test results, and follow-up instructions to patients, employers, and clinical staff.
- Ensure a smooth patient flow by coordinating with clinical staff and minimizing wait times.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records and EMR.
- Provide support and supervision to clinical staff, including Physician Assistants, as needed.
- Respond effectively to emergencies and perform stabilization when required.
- Uphold HIPAA compliance, infection control, and safety protocols.
- Job duties may change to meet clinic needs.
Job Requirements:
- MD or DO with unrestricted California license - REQUIRED
- DOT certification required (or obtain within 30 days of employment).
- BCLS, CPR, and AED certified; DEA and California drug licenses.
- Knowledge of OSHA, DOT regulations, and EMR experience.
