OPEN POSITION:
Physician - Occupational Medicine
SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am to 5:00pm
- No Evenings
- No Weekends
- No On-Call
COMPENSATION:
- $225,000 Starting Base Salary, negotiable dependent upon experience
- $15,000 Sign-On Bonus
- $5,000 Relocation Bonus

LOCATION:
Lubbock, Texas
COMPANY PROFILE:
This is a private occupational medicine practice offering full-scope services. In its main location, the practice boasts a fully-equipped outpatient clinic with approximately 10,000 square feet of space, 6 exam rooms, 1 trauma room, a nurses’ station, a phlebotomy room, an audio booth room, an EKG room, an x-ray room, 2 drug screen stations, and a large physical therapy space, along with offices for providers. They also operate a smaller satellite clinic approximately 10 minutes away for additional capacity. The practice currently employs 2 advanced practitioners and 1 physician. They are seeking a new physician due to increased patient demand.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new physician will see patients for routine occupational medicine services, including but not limited to:
- work-related injury evaluation
- work-related injury treatment
- pre-employment physicals and screenings
- DOT physicals
- suturing
- reading x-rays (injury evaluation pending radiologist reports)
- joint injections
- trigger point injections
- reading test results (EKGs, pulmonary function tests, audiograms, lab work)
- making appropriate specialist referrals
Providers see an average of 27 patients per day with the support of dedicated clinical assistants. If the physician desires to have a larger patient panel, the practice is happy to hire a part-time advanced practitioner to work in collaboration.
The practice uses the Net Health EHR - an occupational medicine specific system.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Texas medical license
- Board Certification or Eligibility, relevant field
- DOT certification with NRCME registry
- suturing skills
