Division Medical Director

Banner Occupational Health (BOHS) is actively recruiting for a full-time Division Medical Director to join one of the largest non-profit health systems in the country. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a comprehensive and exceptional dynamic team of 11 Physicians and 10 APP’s.


This position provides oversight for clinical, customer, learning, and financial performance of the providers of the Banner Occupational Health service line. This position will be 80%

administrative based on the span and scope of responsibility, with the remaining time assigned to clinical duties. Applicant must reside in Arizona, due to travel requirements.


As Division Director you would be expected to:

· Oversee Physician and APP engagement with development and mentorship opportunities through quarterly performance reviews

· Analyze Physician and APP alignment, productivity, and team culture, all while being vigilant for signs of burnout among the team

· Manage clinical oversight through quality improvement metrics, while promoting excellent patient care among all clinic locations

· Assist with recruitment needs and build strong collegial relationships with other executive and clinical leadership, as well as applicable internal and external constituents and stakeholders


This position, along with its team members, is responsible for driving, supporting, and modeling a service-oriented culture. Ultimately focusing on employee engagement, quality, patient safety, service excellence, fiscal responsibility, and the overall patient experience.


Position Qualifications include:

· Board Certified or Board Eligible in Occupational Medicine, Environmental Medicine, or Preventative Medicine

· At least 5 years of clinical experience, with 3 years of direct leadership experience

· Experience with continuous quality improvement activities preferred
