Overview:
- The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment commensurate with their credentials.
- Well-established occupational health clinic affiliated with the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics (AOEC), providing a wide range of services to workers, employers, and clients across the region, including professional physician services at selected plant-based facilities.
- One of only two ACGME-accredited occupational medicine residency programs in Texas and U.S. Public Health Region 6, partially supported by a NIOSH Training Project Grant and CMMS-capped GME positions.
- Recently established public health/general preventive medicine residency program within a sister Department of Preventive Medicine and Population Health.
- Active involvement in grants, contracts, and research initiatives focusing on occupational, environmental, and public health disciplines, with a particular emphasis on occupational respiratory diseases. This includes contributions to the NIOSH-supported Southwest Center for Agricultural Health, Injury Prevention, and Education.
