Job Title: Medical Director
Location: Facilities in Tennessee and Kentucky
Overview: The Medical Director will lead and supervise clinical programs and staff, develop occupational health policies, and provide administrative leadership. This role involves working with various departments on administrative issues and overseeing vendor-provided clinical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead local clinical programs and staff.
- Develop and implement occupational health policies.
- Provide administrative leadership for medical programs.
- Oversee vendor clinical services, including health evaluations and regulated exams.
- Develop policies for acute care, emergency response, and workers' compensation management.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Medicine (M.D./D.O.).
- Licensed to practice in Tennessee or ability to obtain.
- Board Certification in Occupational Medicine.
- 10 years of experience in Occupational Medicine or related fields.
- Certification by the Medical Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC).
- Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT requirements for Commercial Driver Medical Certification.

Job Responsibilities
Provide administrative leadership for the programs and services offered by the company medical departments while working with Human Resources, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, and staff managers at the corporate level on administrative issues at the facility.
Provides management oversight for vendor provision of clinical services directly at the facility to personnel including post-offer health evaluations and exams, regulated exams such as OSHA surveillance exams, DOT-FMCSA exams, as well as planning and oversight for MRO services for company policy, DOT and Non-DOT drug screens.
Develops company programs and policy related to acute and minor illness care and emergency response
Develops, implements, and coordinates company policies and programs covering workers' compensation case management, health-productivity management and occupational medicine practices such as determination, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational injuries and illnesses, medical surveillance exams, management of short and long term disability due to occupational and non-occupational injury or illness return to work evaluations and other fitness for duty evaluations.
Qualifications
Doctorate in Medicine (M.D./D.O.).
Licensed to practice in Tennessee or ability to obtain.
Board Certification in Occupational Medicine.
10 years of experience in Occupational Medicine or related fields.
Certification by the Medical Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC).
