A large battery manufacturer site near Memphis, TN (specifically in Stanton - just northeast of Memphis) is in search of a Medical Director. This a long-term, permanent position that is looking for a physician with extensive experience in Occupational Medicine. Job description:
- Setting: Medical Director to manage multiple battery manufacturing sites
- Primary site is in Stanton, TN
- Manage 3 total factories across TN and KY (2500 employees per factory)
- Duties:
- manage occupational health facilities
- decide on how to staff multiple facilities under the same large corporation
- lead, guide, and supervise the local clinical programs and staff
- develop processes and policies regarding occupational health for the company
- provide administrative leadership for the programs and services offered by the company medical departments while working with Human Resources, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, and staff managers at the corporate level on administrative issues at the facility
- Provide management oversight for vendor provision of clinical services directly at the facility (exams: OSHA surveillance exams, DOT-FMCSA exams)
- Develop company programs and policy related to acute and minor illness care and emergency response
- Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
- No weekends, holidays, or call
- Must be board certified
- Will consider active TN license or IMLC
- Must have minimum 10 years of Occupational Health experience
