Medical Director for our Occupational Health team

The Work Connection at Holyoke Medical Center offers employers a full range of occupational medicine services, including individualized services for area businesses and supporting our own Valley Health Services employees. Our staff professionals assist employers by assessing and treating injuries and participating in the maintenance and well-being of their employees, including our own.

Job Responsibilities

● Join an established Occupational Health Practice, where you will be supported by 3 experienced APPs with over 30 years in practice between them.
● Serve as Medical Director of the Practice, while providing daily patient care, and facilitating strategic alliances with other physician and community organizations for the benefit of the physical well-being of individuals performing their work responsibilities.
● Provide workman’s comp services, as well as DOT medical exams, EKG reads, and MRO Services
● Shift: Full time position Monday-Friday, 8a-5p (No Weekends, Holidays, or on-call)

Qualifications

● Board Certified Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) licensed in Massachusetts.
● Experience: 2-3 years’ experience as Occupational Health Physician and/or Medical Director in an occupational health setting (Preferred)
● Certification: FMSCA Certified through the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners and Medical Review Officer (MRO) or willing to obtain certification.
● Trained and experienced at performing Worker's Compensation exams, DOT Exams, and services such as injury care, Xray interpretation, EKG reads, and Medical Review Officer (MRO) duties, interpreting pulmonary function testing and hearing exams.
