Job Opportunity: Physician - Obstetrics and Gynecology

As a Physician specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, you will be crucial in addressing the healthcare needs of women in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This is an ongoing locum tenens opportunity with a flexible start date once credentialed.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide coverage for clinic visits and on-call duties.
• Work in collaboration with one permanent provider and three nurse practitioners.
• Perform an average of 15-20 patient encounters per day in the clinic.
• Participate in approximately 30-40 deliveries a month.
• Manage urgent clinic matters during the day while on call.
• Availability for scheduled clinical hours plus call duties, with rotating call shifts.
• Utilize EMR systems including MediTech in the hospital and Athena in the clinics.
• Ensure effective communication with other providers and support staff.

Qualifications:

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
• Preferred completion of a fellowship in a relevant specialty.
• Iowa medical license or IMLC eligibility is required.
• Previous experience in a similar practice setting is advantageous.
• Ability to respond to call duties within 15 minutes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Active medical license in the state of Iowa or eligibility for IMLC.
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges available.
